Assam HS 1st Year Admission 2026 Merit List
The Assam State School Education Board, Division-II (formerly AHSEC) is publishing the provisional selection list and waiting list for HS 1st Year admission today, 25 April 2026, at 10 AM. The merit list will be available on the DARPAN portal, and selected candidates will also receive an SMS notification on their registered mobile number.
The application window for the 2026-27 academic session ran from 12 April 2026 to 22 April 2026. Institutions then prepared their selection and waiting lists between 23 April 2026 and 24 April 2026, based on the HSLC marks of the applicants.
Selected students must log into the DARPAN portal and accept their admission offer at one institution between 25 April 2026 and 27 April 2026. Institutions will then confirm those admissions on the portal from 28 April 2026 to 8 May 2026. Offline admission is not allowed under any circumstances.

Eligibility: Candidates who have passed the HSLC Examination 2026 conducted by ASSEB (Division-I) or any other recognized state or national board.
How to Check the Merit List and Accept Admission
Candidates who submitted applications through the DARPAN portal can check their selection status and accept the admission offer using the following steps.

| Click on the Admission Merit List link. |
| Enter your Mobile Number, Date of Birth, and 4-Digit PIN, then click Login. |
| The dashboard will load. Click on the Application Submitted button. |
| You will see all the colleges and schools where you applied along with the status of each application. |
| If you are selected at one or more institutions, decide which one you want to join. |
| Click on the Accept Admission Request link of your chosen institution and confirm. |
| Save or print the acceptance acknowledgement for future reference. |
Confirmation of Admission by Institutions
After a candidate accepts the admission offer, the institution has to verify the documents physically and then confirm the admission on the DARPAN portal using its Institution Login ID. This confirmation window runs from 28 April 2026 to 8 May 2026, and institutions are required to update the portal on a daily basis during this period.
ASSEB has set a fine of ₹5000 per day for any institution that fails to confirm admissions within the stipulated timeframe. Candidates should therefore visit the institution with all original documents on the date communicated by the school or college and complete the physical verification without delay

Carry the originals along with one set of self-attested photocopies of the following documents to the institution.
- HSLC Admit Card and Marksheet
- HSLC Pass Certificate (if issued)
- School Leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate
- Recent Passport Size Photographs
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- PWD / Disability Certificate (if applicable)
- TGL or Ex-TGL Certificate (if applicable)
- Aadhaar Card
